Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

It is that time of year again! Here at Holy Family we are in the process of planning and preparing for another year of our Holy Family Parish Faith Formation. Enclosed you will find a copy of the registration form. I ask that you complete the registration form by writing in the names of all family members who will be attending classes this year. Please check off your preference in terms of first or second choice for the day you wish your child to attend class, and return the completed form to the Faith Formation Office. If we are able to accommodate your first choice, you will not hear from us. However, if we are unable give you your first choice we will call you. Placement of students for their preferred class day will be on a first come first served basis.

PARENT MEETINGS FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 1 – 6

There are two choices being offered, one parent must attend one meeting

On September 14th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be a meeting in the Holy Family Parish Center Hall. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEETING BOOKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED.

On September 16th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., there will be a parent meeting in the Holy Family Parish Center Hall. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEETING BOOKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED.

We are willing to accommodate your needs and so if these meetings are inconvenient for you, please call Karen at (508) 824-3578 to schedule another meeting. Please keep in mind, however, that the meeting needs to be held prior to the first class. Students will not be admitted into class without their book having been previously picked up. Registration forms must be in the office before classes start. There will be NO exceptions!

Students in Grades 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 Classes will begin;
Sunday, September 20th, Monday, September 21st, or Wednesday, September 23rd

Students in Grades 2, Class will begin;
Saturday, September 26th

No registration form will be processed without the accompaniment of the registration fee. If the fee presents a hardship to you, please contact Fr. Jay at 508-824-5707 or Karen at 508-824-3578.

Registration forms may be mailed to the parish office, dropped off at the parish center, deposited into the box at the front door of the parish center, or placed in an envelope that may be put in the collection basket at one of the Masses on Sunday. Please mark the outside of the envelope ~ Attention Karen. We are also offering the opportunity to register for classes after all the Masses the weekend of September 12th and 13th. Join us after one of the Masses that weekend in the parish center for coffee and donuts and take the opportunity to register. REMINDER: Placement of students’ preferred class day will be on a first come first served basis.

PARENTS AND STUDENT MEETING GRADES 7, 8 & 9

Grade 7: The first class for Students is Monday, September 21st from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in the parish center. At least one parent is expected to attend. The schedule for the year will be given out and class expectations will be explained.

Grade 8: Confirmation I – Each candidate and at least one parent are expected to attend the first scheduled Grade 8 class on Sunday, September 20th, from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. in the parish center. The schedule will be given out and the expectations for the Confirmation I program will be explained. Each candidate and at least one parent is expected to attend. The Walk for Life is Sunday, October 4th, the Enrollment Mass is on Sunday, October 19th at 9:00 a.m. This will be explained at the meeting.

Grade 9: Confirmation II – Each candidate, along his/her sponsor, and at least one of the parents, are expected to attend the first class on Sunday, September 20th from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. in the parish center. The schedule will be given out and the expectations for the Confirmation II program will be explained. The Walk for Life is Sunday, October 4th. This will be explained at the meeting.

Books will be distributed for Grades 7, 8 & 9 on the first night of class.

A reminder to all students in grades 1 through 9 who are registered members of Holy Family Parish; you must be enrolled in the Holy Family Parish Faith Formation Program. Students in sacramental preparation years, (Grades 2, 8 and 9) that attend parochial school, must attend the Holy Family Parish Faith Formation Classes. Anyone not baptized at Holy Family is expected to provide a baptismal certificate from the parish in which they were baptized. You can bring the original in or have the church where your child was baptized fax us a copy at (508) 822-2915
