YOUNG MEMBERS OF OUR PARISH, GRADES 8 - 12, who would like to join us this summer for STEUBENVILLE EAST WEEKEND CONFERENCE, to be held at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, from July 23 - 25, are asked to get a registration form at the entrance of Church and get it back to Karen ASAP.  The cost is $190.00 per person and includes lodging in the dorms at URI and all meals.  We need a deposit of $50.00 in order to hold a place.   Many of our young people have attended in the past. HOLY FAMILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL for our young children ages 3 through 4th GRADE are welcome to participate.   The dates are Aug. 2 -6th from 9 a.m. - Noon each day.  This year's theme is "RAINFOREST".  Tuition: One child ($10.00), Two children ($8.00 each) $16.00; Three children ($6.00 each) $18.00; Four or more children ($6.00 each) People of all ages (grade 5 & up, teens, young adults, middle age, elders) are invited to help out. PARISH TRIP TO WATER COUNTRY will be held on FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH. The bus will leave the Church parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and will return about 7:00 p.m.  The cost will be $25.00 per person plus the cost of the bus. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION BOOKS:  Parents/Guardians of students who were in Grades 3 - 9 this past year are reminded that your child's religious education book needs to be returned to us.  If you haven't done so yet, would you please bring the book(s) to the Faith Formation Office at the Parish Center (please do not leave at the Rectory).  Invoices for those books not returned will be mailed to parents in a couple of weeks.  We thank you for your cooperation. REGISTRATION FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES: Any family who registered in our parish over the last few months and has a child(ren) entering Grades 1 - 9 this fall, is asked to contact Karen at the Faith Formation Office so we can have you on the list of families who will be receiving registration forms. THE 51ST ANNUAL TAUNTON AREA CYO GOLF TOURNAMENT  will take place on Monday, Aug. 2, starting at 8:00 a.m. sharp at the John F. Parker Golf Course in Taunton.  The tourney will feature an 18 hole medal play and the entry fee is $12.00 per participant.  Golfers will be divided into the following divisions.

SENIORS: Born on or after July 1, 1990
JUNIORS: Born on or after July 1, 1993
CADETS: Born on or after July 1, 1996

Seniors must report to the Clubhouse no later than 7:30 a.m. that day.  Juniors must report to the Clubhouse  no later than 8:00 a.m. that day and Cadets must report to the Clubhouse no later than 8:15 a.m. that day.  Only golfers from TAUNTON, BERKLEY, EASTON, RAYNHAM AND DIGHTON are eligible for this local tournament.

GOT BOOKS????   Since the year 2000, the priests of the Congregation of the Holy Cross (who run Stonehill College) have been helping us out here at Holy Family (Frs. Frank Grogan, John Santone, Tom Bertone and Charles Wallen) especially by celebrating Mass for us each Friday at 8:30 a.m., and helping at other times as well.  The Congregation has established a College in Northeast India and are collecting all types of books for the Library.  Anyone wishing to donate books (novels/literature, science, history or reference books - hard or soft covered) to help students of ALL AGES (4 YR OLDS UP TO COLLEGE AGE) with their English reading, please contact parishioner John Garcia at 774-218-9308 for more information.  THIS WOULD BE A GREAT WAY TO SAY "THANKS" TO A RELIGIOUS CONGREGATIONS THAT HAS HELPED US TREMENDOUSLY HERE AT HOLY FAMILY.

DO YOU HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND WHO IS CONFINED TO HOME AND NOT ABLE TO GET TO MASS? We would be glad to bring Holy Communion to those who can't get to Church.  Simply call the rectory.  IT IS NOT AN IMPOSITION.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR PARISH?  We would love to have you register and join our parish family.  Just call Fr. Kevin and set up a time to meet.  It only takes a few minutes.

A REMINDER: As a sign of love and respect for the Holy Eucharist, we are not supposed to eat or drink anything (except water) 1 hour prior to receiving Holy Communion.  Many perhaps don't realize this or have forgotten about this fasting before receiving Holy Communion.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE A GODPARENT FOR BAPTISM OR CONFIRMATION?  You must be a confirmed Catholic, at least 16 years old, registered in a parish and practicing your Faith by weekly participation at Mass.  If you are married your marriage must be recognized as valid by the Church.  See Fr. Kevin if you have any questions.

PLEASE PRAY for our men and women who are trying to decide the vocation to which God is calling them.  Remember too our men and women serving in the military, especially those overseas, in harms way (may they return home soon and safely).  Pray too for those who are in law enforcement, fire protection and emergency services. Remember our parishioners who don't join us each week for the Eucharist, our parishioners who are sick at home, in hospitals or nursing homes and all our faithful departed. THANKS.
