YOUNG MEMBERS OF OUR PARISH, GRADES 8 - 12, who would like to join us this summer for STEUBENVILLE EAST WEEKEND CONFERENCE, to be held at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, from July 23 - 25, are asked to get a registration form at the entrance of Church and get it back to Karen ASAP.  The cost is $190.00 per person and includes lodging int the dorms at URI and all meals.  We need a deposit of $50.00 by March 15 in order to hold a place. HOLY FAMILY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS will have a special meeting this Wed., Feb. 25, at 8:00 p.m. in the CHURCH HALL.  This meeting is for the final preparations for our St. Patrick's Celebration.

HOLY FAMILY RESPECT FOR LIFE COMMITTEE will meet this Thurs., Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center.  Anyone interested in promoting a greater respect for all human life is welcome to join us.

ALL COOPED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO?  Join us for our 15th ANNUAL Holy Family Knight's of Columbus ST. PATRICK'S CELEBRATION. It will be held on SUNDAY, MARCH 7 at the Holy Ghost Hall.  There will be two seatings: 1 - 4 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m.  The dinner will be the traditional Corned Beef & Cabbage and pasta and hot dogs for those who prefer it.  Both seatings will feature Irish Step Dancers from the O'Shea Chaplin Academy of Irish Dancing of Greater Boston, as well as live Irish Music with the Black Velvet Band, door prizes, A HUGE RAFFLE TABLE, and loads of Irish Fun.  Due to the success of keeping groups together, should you want to reserve a table of 8 or more, let us know when ordering tickets. Adult tickets are $12.00 and tickets for children under 12 remain at only $5.00. LENT AT HOLY FAMILY PARISH

CELEBRATION OF MASS, MON - THURS at 8:00 a.m. and on FRIDAY at 8:30 a.m.

WED., FEB. 24     7:00 P.M.    LENTEN DEVOTIONS including Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Stations of the Cross and Benediction.

SAT., FEB. 27     3:30 P.M.    The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) at Church

TAUNTON AREA LENTEN MISSION, led by Fr. Gary Daily of the Diocese of Springfield, will take place Sun - Wed., Feb. 28 - March 3 at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 19 Kilmer Ave., Taunton.  Plenty of good, well lit parking.  Starts each night at 7:00 p.m.  This year's theme is "Days of Deepening Friendship:  Nurturing the Interior Life" MARK IT DOWN.  DON'T MISS IT.  People of all ages are invited.

OPERATION RICE BOWL is an opportunity to eat a smaller meal one night a week during Lent and put the savings into the "Rice Bowl".  This savings can be turned in a the end of Lent (Palm Sunday) and the money given to help feed those in need.  RICE BOWLS available at the entrances of church.

A REMINDER: ALL FRIDAYS IN LENT are Days of Abstinence (those 14 & older must not eat meat)

PLAN TO RECEIVE THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION DURING LENT.  On Friday and Saturday, March 19 - 20, confessions will be heard at all Catholic Parishes in the Taunton Deanery on Fri night, from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Sat., from Noon - 3:00 p.m.  MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW.

ECUMENICAL LENTEN SERVICES are held in the Taunton area on the Thursdays of Lent.  WE WILL HOST ON THURS., MARCH 4.  This week's service is at the Memorial Methodist Church in Taunton on Feb. 25.  Pot Luck Supper (bring a dish to share and your own place setting) at 6:30 p.m. and the Service is at 7:30 p.m.

THOUGHTS FOR LENT THIS WEEK: Sun., Feb. 21: Lord, help us to live by your golden rule and do to others as we would like them to do to us; Mon., Feb. 22: Lord, you knew me by my name before I was born.  Help me to live up to the most important name that comes from you: Christian; Tue., Feb. 23: Pray the Our Father; Wed., Feb. 24: Lord, help us to hear your voice today even if it comes from someone we prefer not to hear, and give us the grace to act on that truth; Thurs., Feb. 25: Lord, you came to show us that God is love.  Remind us to love each person we meet today just like you love them.  And remind us, too, that you love us; Fri., Feb. 26: Lord, today we pray for anyone who has hurt us.  Bless them today and give them what they need to understand they are loved; Sat., Feb. 27: Lord, bless those who are now our personal enemies or the enemies of our nation.  Make us instruments of your peace at home and throughout the world.
